Those interested in applying should have a college degree in mathematics, a science, or education (with an emphasis on math or science); good communication and writing skills; access to high-speed Internet service; a desire to learn the details of writing for the K-12 and college education markets; a willingness to accept constructive criticism and advice; previous writing or editing experience (particularly in writing educational materials) is a plus but is not required.

Those performing work will need to use Microsoft Word (preferably Word 2003 or newer; OpenOffice and other similar Word-compatible applications are not acceptable for this work). The work may also require use of Adobe Reader or Microsoft Excel (OpenOffie or other spreadsheet applications ARE acceptable).
